This has been sitting around for a while. Its a VIS carbon fiber Invader hood for the 03-05, painted steel grey. I am not gonna lie to anyone LOL...the paint has seen better days. It has spidered pretty bad and even a little cracked near the scoop (not the hood...the paint), partly because I think the tools that painted it didn't add any flex to the paint and the weather/temp. kind of had its way. Its drilled for hood pins, you can see the left over 3m tape where I pulled them off
. It belonged to blackmagik before me (for those of you old timers). Fitment was good, if i remember correctly I had to shave the latch, other than that it was better than my current AIT hood thats for sure. I could easily fix this hood up, so I am firm at $75 and local pickup only. Sorry people, but I needed extensive work done to this when blackmagik shipped to me from Florida, and I dont want to risk that again...or put up with it for that matter. I live in Belleville NJ, and would be willing to meet halfway (within reason). The hood does fit in the mazda6 trunk with seats down. I took the pics with flash so you can see the spider in the paint. Most people on here who know me will vouch for my sales. Paypal or in this case cash would suffice. I just noticed a small scuff/scratch on the left side which can most likely be buffed out. Don;t want anyone bustin my balls about the description lol.![]()

http://www.jcwhitney.com/racing-styl...41&zmap=265198 ^^these are the pin types that blackmagik as well as myself used...so they bolt in pretty easy. Plus being that holes are drilled already in the hood...all you gotta do is look down and pull the trigger. HAHA, now drilling them into my raiden hood was heartwrenching moment

To be completely honest...I wouldn't trust those not to pull through. That's why I fabbed up my own mounting locations for my hood latches.

I can see your point...but the hood pins are more of a precaution than a solution. I would hope that if the latch did actually decide to fail, that the hood pins wouldn't choose to fail at the same exact moment in time, buying a few seconds to slow my car once the hood popped lol. The bolts on the pins are much bigger than the holes, and the plastic its drilled through is pretty sturdy...plus I place a washer on the bottom bolt to give me more surface to grip. Now if I was relying solely on pins to keep my hood down, I'd probably look for other outlets.

Plus, my latches were added for track use to ensure zero lift when the car is seeing 180+ km/h every lap. That would cause a little more lift on the hood than traveling at street/highway speeds.

It'd be a bitch to do but I'm sure that a body shop could fill the holes on the hood for you.
